I was impressed with the quality of the rooms and bathroom facilities. The security was very good. However, when dealing with staff, you are often greeted with hostility and impatience. They treat lone travellers much worse than groups and when you try to buy extras or tickets, you are handed a brochure and left to your own volition. Although the location is ideal, I won't stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay! Everything is so clean and modern! We stayed in dorm with beds one above the other. Beds are very comfortable, I fell asleep in 5 seconds. The bells of St.Paul's don't bother at all, but give an additional charm. Location is perfect. Will recommend this hostel.
perfect location, great breakfast, what more could you want?
The only negative was the noisy door right by my bedroom which make a terribly loud noise everytime someone opened it. It's a very lovely hostel in the perfect position & the staff were terrific.
Your hostel is great. I was very happy =) I like get to back to you!
Thank you very much. Greetings from Czech Republic
Female dom is located at the back stair and toilet was not functional
It was a nice stay, the only thing I'll point out is that is quite far from Westminster City and that wireless was not free. Overall, we stayed happy and comfortable.
My bed was in room 1 - a lower-ground dormitory with high-level windows at street-pavement level. It was noisy overnight.
I regret the passing of hostels with quiet rooms (including a table for writing) among their public spaces.
Compared to YHA St Pancras this one looks in need of some refurbishment... security was crap, doors were not locked in corridors, main door was open and anybody coudl come in without being asked... Beds were good, nice duvet... we slept with windows oepn as it was much too warm (save energy please)... toilets not working beside room 9... no individual bedside lamps means that you wake up everybody using the main lights...
Staff were efficient but not that friendly - did the minimum to assist but not looking to 'add value' to your YHA experience! In saying that, the hostel appeared to run smoothly. I would recommend the breakfasts, good choice, decent quality which sets you up for a day in London!
