Despite booking a twin room over 7 months in advance we were allocated a double room which, due to capacity, was unable to be changed. Very inconvenient for 2 females one being 88 years old.

There was construction going on right next to the Hostel so it woke me up every day. It was not a big problem because I wanted to wake up early and go sight seeing but the noise was pretty loud.

Fix the shower head in 502, they need cleaning to get a good flow!!

I was slightly disappointed by my recent stay here. I felt that my room (206) and maybe other are in need of some repairs or a refit. The window could not be closed properly; one of the electrical sockets was broken, each bed didn’t have its own socket. Plus the shower was poor and was in the same room as the toilet, meaning only could use either at any one time and one of the lockers was on the verge of falling apart I’m sure when I stayed here last time the rooms were better! This is not to say the hostel is terrible, it’s not. It was always clean and the staff helpful. It is just in need of some maintenance and updating. Breakfast is £4 extra, the lockers (for when you checkout) are £2 to £3. Wifi is available in the Bar but as with most YHA not free.

The hostels was very convenient to trains, buses and tourist buses. The bed was good and the locker in the room was nice. The cafe was nice and the price of breakfast was very reasonable. I would stay there again.

very nice tot have a lower bed in my age. Thx. A little display near the bedlamp would be nice, handy for glaces etc.

| Airport: | HEATHROW - Picadilly Line on the London Undergound direct from the airport to Kings Cross/St Pancras station. Journey time aprox 50 minutes. GATWICK - Direct train services between the airport and St Pancras Domestic station. Journey time aprox 45 minutes. LUTON - Direct train service between Luton Airport Parkway and St Pancras domestic rail station. A free shuttle bus frequently makes the short trip between the airport and Luton Airport Parway station. STANSTED - Train or coach services run between the airport and Liverpool Street station. Liverpool Street can be easily reached by underground or 24 hour buses from St Pancras. |
