The construction isn't very soundproof. We had the unfortunate luck of satying at the same time as a school trip; and it was quite noisy due to the kids running around. We had a private room and still could hear everything; bring the best earplugs you own if your a light sleeper.

Ed and I can't thank Catherine, Linna, Teresa, Ana and everyone there for such a wonderful time. They get a 10 plus from Ed and I.Hostel is in an excellent location tosee Lisbon.

Very good, helpful and friendly staff. Generally clean. Bathroom floors were sometimes a little dirty (showers were always very clean) and toilets would sometimes run out of toilet paper (Had to go down to the reception once to get toilet paper) But there are always toilets on other floors that one could use. I was a little disappointed as it did not have a kitchen where one could prepare their own snacks and drinks if required. Breakfast was sufficient but the cold drinks machine was not working and orange juice was from concentrate and very very diluted. Overall reasonable place to crash(we would be out all day) for a reasonable price. Room was crowded.

We have been very well in the hostel. The personnel, at the reception, at the kithen, have been nice and polite, they helped us a lot for many different reasons. Maybe it is the best hostel where I have ever been.

Nice hostel, low prices, a bit unsatisfying cleanliness (over all in the common bathroom). Metro at 1‘, bus to airport at 2‘. Maybe orange juice and coffee at breakfast could be improved. Very friendly staff.

The rooms were great, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Everything is cleaned until it's pristine everyday. The metro station is right outside the front door and the aerobus stops just around the corner. The only thing it's lacking is a kitchen.

fantastic experience, good place, nice view in a good location for various activities, things to do and see. Additional bonus is the pinto Doce supermarket with low price fruit and veg and other groceries. EXCELLENT staff and wonderful breakfast and it worth every penny.
Hostel Overview
Set in a gracious building from 19th century, the Lisbon Centre hostel is located in Lisbon city centre right next to Marques de Pombal and Avenida da Liberdade. The Picoas Metro Station (Yellow Line) is practically on the doorstep! This truely central hostel is one of the HI network of hostels in Portugal, and one of four hostels in the Lisbon area. Monuments, museums, churches and nightlife are easily accessible by bus or metro, or even on foot. There are also great stadiums in Lisbon (Sporting and Benfica) where you can attend major football matches and music concerts. When you feel like getting away for the hustle and bustle of Lisbon city life there are sandy beaches only 15km away!This Lisbon youth hostel accommodates 174 guests in a choice of 13 twin ensuite rooms (one suitable for wheelchair access), 1 double ensuite room and 31 dorms with a maximum capacity of 6 persons. The hostel offers a lively vibrant atmosphere, including a Cafe and Bar, 24 hour access, Internet and Wi-Fi, Laundry and Luggage Storage.
