Thank you for this opportunity. I was going to write for a number of reasons. 1-Location: Wonderful 2-Day staff: good However, the last night was one of inebriated people being loud until 04:30. I left 2 hours earlier than planned as there was no rest there. The night staff said she had intervened 4 times....if she could not control the situation senior staff or authorities should have been called in. It was used as the cheap hotel it states it is not. There was none of the values or safety that one expects at HI. I had suggested to an 18 yr. old female student that she pay the required membershiip fee and use this HI as she'll be in France for her "gap" year. I believed the fellowship, safety, location would be to her benefit.....none of that was evident Friday night.

The staff were not very helpful and couldn't offer any suggestions or recommendations for the city. It was well located.

Very young groups were staying there and that was a bit annoying. Definitely just a place to sleep and shower--no real opportunity for socializing. Very clean though and a great location--an excellent base for exploring Lille!

poor breakfast and its not so clean in the hostel ...i staied 5 days there ...someone stole my food and my pantalons:)))

The staff were very nice! But there were some odd things, like no toilet paper in the bathroom (had to use paper towels) and overall it felt like I was camping in an office building or something. Not a very homey feeling. It was clean.

The smell from pipes was so horrbile we cannot stand, it was cold, staff had no idea about english, rooms were dirty. I know that it is youth hostel it cant be silent but come on. On Friday it was impossible to sleep beacuse of people running, screaming, music. DISASTER. Previously i was in other HI hostel and this one is worst i ever seen.

On our first morning the breakfast lady found it very difficult to wash up sufficient cups for an influx of people. She seemed quite slow and not very helpful.

Location was good, but there was the sign on the building was too small. Amazing staff, by the way.
Hostel Overview
