I have stayed here 3x in 3 years and it's my favorite place in Lige.

The room is filled up with spide nets and mosquitos, the shower water is not hot enough and it is coming out a bit better than drops by drops. Also, there is something wrong with the door lock, sometimes the door can't be locked.
Hostel Overview
Embraced in green mountains, The Lugu Lake is 210 KM away from Lijiang County. Being the first YHA beside the Lake, the hostel is situated in a traditional Mosuo Timber House (Mulengfang in Chinese) in Lige village. Just 100M from lakeshore, the hostel has a wonderful view of both the uncontaminated plateau lake and the lakeside field.The Lugu Lake is located between Yunnan Province and Sichuan Province. Departed from Lijiang, the common destinations are Luoshui village and Lige village. However, with a longer history of tourism, Luoshui is now pretty commercialized and most visited by Chinese organized group travelers. In contrast, Lige becomes the best-beloved destination of lone travelers and backpackers in the recent years with its well-preserved atmosphere of rural life. Our hostel is located in Lige village.

| Bus: | There is a small coach station 10KM from Luoshui. You may go to Lijiang or Xichang in Sichuan Province by coach from that station. NOTE: If you come to our hostel from Lijiang, we suggest you NOT to take the coach from Lijiang Long Distance Bus Station, because that coach will only lead you to Luoshui, which is still 10KM from Lige where we are located. There is no bus between the two places and it will take you 50 RMB for a one-way trip between by taxi. We suggest you to take the Lijiang-Lige Passenger dedicated shuttle departing from Lijiang Old Town Parking Lot. The terminus is right in front of our hostel in Lige. You may book the ticket at "International Youth Hostel Lijiang". The price is the same as you buy it at Lijiang Long Distance Bus Station. For coming back to Lijiang, you may book the ticket at the reception desk in our hostel. |

| Location: | Lige village where the hostel is located is on the northwest of The Lugu Lack, on the lakeshore at the foot of Gemu Goddness Mountain(often referred as The Lion Mountain), it is the highest mountain of the lake area. Our hostel is located at the central part of the village.（No doorplate for the hostel as it is a small village with 30 family only） |
