stayed at tavira, lagos great freindly staff cristina at lagos was too interested in the internet i asked her where i could go that night she replied i have no idea, she was rude, and would give a heater for the dorm all the other HI hostels gave us heaters for the dorm also the kitchen only microwave and 1 hot plate kitchen needs improving where to cook pizza, grill sardines also when booking on your internets at hi hostels they all tell you in portuguese that other people may see your information please update the anti virus software on all the hostel pc's thanks had a great time in algarve

Staff very good, espscislly George, desk manager. Also kitchen, cleaning staff were very helpful. Of the 4-5 places I stayed in the Algarve this was the best. It may also relate to the fellow travellers I met along the way.

The hostel is located in a very good place, in historical center of Lagos and just 5 min walking from the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff! The hostel is very comfortable and cosy! Good value for money! Our stay was perfect!

Very noisy. Ask for a room far away from the street if you want to sleep at all.

Overall good. Would have been helpful to have more information on Sagres and local restaurants. I wanted to avoid tourists and I did not get any suggestions on places to eat away from the non-locals. Not anything to do with the hostel, but it would have been helpful if the bus station had a map where I could have figured out the location of the hostel. If possible it would have helped if there were a few signs leading to the hostel.
