Hostel Overview
La Rueca Hostel is located in the heart of the Protected Natural Environment of Arribes del Duero Natural Park, in the province of Zamora (Spain). There are countless possibilities to practice nature activities, hiking and active tourism. The Gran Recorrido GR 14 Path goes past the Municipality of Fariza, which goes by Duero River, in the border with Portugal. In its way, there is several viewpoints of extraordinary beauty, over Arribes of Duero River cliffs and with many ethnological elements (mills, steakburgers stalls, cave wineries, fountains, chapels, etc). All these elements are key to the interpretation of culture and traditions of that area of Zamora and Castilla y León. Few kilometres from the hostel, it is possible to visit the House of Convento de San Francisco Park, in the nearby town of Fermoselle, where it is possible to get to know more deeply this great Protected Natural Environment. 13 km from Fariza is Miranda Do Douro, in Portugal, where the Arribes Cruise departs, which flows up to the Águila Valley.Activities: •Routes. •Hiking. •Active tourism activities. •Nautical activities. •Cycling. •Natural Parks. •Sports center.
