La struttura è davvero fantastica, nuova, pulitissima e dotata di ogni servizio. Purtroppo si trova piuttosto lontano dal centro della città (con il bus almeno 40 min) e per rientrare la sera gli ultimi bus partono dal centro verso le 21.45. The hostel is fantastic, new and clean. Unfortunately the location is far from the center of the city and the last buses from the city center are around 21.45.

Amazing Hostel, best I've ever been to. Just the location is a bit off the road, but if you combine the stay with another hostel in the southeast of Kyoto, it's great. You can visit Kinkakuji, Ryoanji and Ninnajitemple very easy.

Very good place away from the city center, quiet and peaceful environment, friendly staff, easy access to city center and kyoto train station by bus. great place for both young travellers and families. tried the break fast here, its pretty good with many options.

Utano YH is superb. It's spacious and clean. The atmosphere was serene and relaxing. It's a hidden gem in a quieter area but accessible. Suitable for more laid back travellers. Definitely will come back again!! Keep up the good work.

This hostel is probably the best hostel in the world! I was kinda surprised of the character of the hostel and the organizing :) this place got all we need when stay in a hostel

Very friendly staff, beautiful new building in traditional Japanese stlye with good bus connection to the city (200m far from bus stop). Chilling in the tradtional bath is more than comfortable.

I had good relax time in the Utano youth Hostel. I wanted many informations about events in kyoto. If it`s possible to display infoms inthe roby, Please take inform board. (Now you have a board but it`s too simple)

Though its far from kyoto city, but that's what you pay to be close to country side. There are lots of things to see around this place. Had a awesome bike tour to visit the close-by temples and bamboo forest.

Utano YH is located in a quiet redidential area and close to lot's of world heritages and sightseeing places such as Kinkakuji,Ryoanji,Movieland,Arashiyama and so on. Friendly staff, Nice hospitality, Comfortable surroundings, We make your visit an enjoyable one!5 min. by taxi from JR Hanazono station. JR Kyoto to Hanazono:JR San-in line(Take local train)11min. 190yen No charge for JR pass holder.
JR花園駅からタクシーで約5分。 京都駅から花園駅までは、JR嵯峨野山陰線に乗り換え、各駅列車で11分190円です。新幹線ご利用の場合は市内料金で。
