Kranjska Gora is not a cheap place to go. This hostel is good alternative. Reception is not the most efficent, but housekeeper MARA is the best! She makes your day!

Apparently, there are two locations for the Hostel Nika, but could only find one called Porentov Dom on Cicare Street. Totally agree with Lonely Planet review, quoting "institutional and depressing". It's a cranky old place. Some could say it's simple, but I think it could at least be clean. It feeled like we were the only ones staying there, but the showers were simply disgusting. The bed sheets were stained like if someone ate soup while doing the bed. Would not recommend it. Must agree it is cheap, hosts are friendly and the breakfast is great.
