The self-catering kitchen is absolulety too small!!! That is really sad, since there is such a great stock of free food and good place in the fridges...

Hostel Overview
Our newest 5 star Wicklow Hostel which was previously a converted farmhouse, is set at the bottom of Knockree, overlooking the Glencree Mountains. The hostel reopened in April 2008 after a €4m investment. The Wicklow Way (famous walking route) passes through the Knockree Hostel grounds and so the ideal location for hillwalkers. Our Wicklow Way Hostel boasts all the usual characteristics of a top rated 5 star property including en-suite rooms, family rooms, meeting room, restaurant (catering for groups only), self catering kitchen, and full car & coach parking. All rooms in our Wicklow Hostel have a spectular view of the amazing scenery that surrounds this hostel.Don't Forget ..we now offer adventure activities in conjunction with Eco Adventure Ireland on our hostel grounds for groups including pony trekking, mountain biking, archery, team tasks and orienteering. | Bus: | Get to Bray (from Dublin via D.A.R.T.). From Bray station, take bus 185 (€ 1.70 correct change only), all the way to last stop, "Shop River" (note: no actual shop there... ask driver). Get off the bus; keep walking (same direction as the bus was going). Turn left at Hostel sign, continue, and then take next sharp right turn at Hostel sign. Continue for approx 1 mile until you find our hostel on right-hand side. Walking time approx. 40 mins. Alternatively (slightly cheaper - takes longer) you could take bus 44C from Dublin all the way to Enniskerry town centre, then change to the 185 bus there. |

| Location: | We are located 5km from Enniskerry Village, Co Wicklow Travelling By Car: From Dublin, go towards Bray on the N11. Turn off direction of Enniskerry. Once in Enniskerry town centre, go up the Glencree Road, continue approx. 3 miles. Turn left at Hostel sign, continue, and then take next sharp right turn at Hostel sign. Continue for approx 1 mile until you find our hostel on right-hand side. We have full car and coach parking facilities at the back of the hostel. |
