Hostel Overview

Czech-German meeting place

Located in a traditional instrument makers’ area, the town of Klingenthal has a lot to offer: wonderful walks and cycle lanes in the Erzgebirge-Vogtland nature park, Germany’s most densely wooded conservation are; Klingenthal is also a very popular ski resort with more than 100km of cross-country tracks, ncluding the mountain ridge track to Johanngeorgenstadt (36km); the unique, newly built "Vogtland-Arena" in Klingenthal with Europe’s most modern ski jump (K125) can be used all year round for sports and other events. The hostel has direct access to cross-country tracks and is located right at the heart of the conservation area on Aschberg mountain (936m), close to the Czech border. There is a 31m lookout right behind the hostel that offers spectacular panoramic views as far as Upper Franconia and Bohemia.

People of 27 years or over pay a surcharge of €3 per night.

Surcharge for single and twin rooms p. p. p. n. (subject to availability): Single: €10 Twin: €4 (doesn’t apply to group guides);

Rebate for children: Up to 2 years free of charge, 3 – 13 years 30% rebate;

Group rebate: For a group of 20 paying customers another one totally free (accommodation, sheets and meals at the YH).

Bus:	A72 to exit Plauen-Süd/Oelsnitz, then B92 direction Oelsnitz, behind Oelsnitz turn left onto S302, via Schöneck to Zwota, then B283 direction Klingenthal/Mühlleithen, then follow hotel guiding system.
