KAWANE Youth Hostel located in a tranquil country town along the Oigawa River where you can hear a whistle of a steam locomotive (SL) echoing. Welcome to “Kawaneji” known for green tea production.

Would you like to take a breather over a cup of tea on a sunlit veranda or beside a old Japanese-style hearth in the youth hostel which has been renovated from a Japanese traditional tea-farmer’s house?

Travel takes you out of your daily life and lets you feel as if you relocated. You will soak up the warm and relaxing atmosphere, which brings in various good memories. For the purpose of playing a part in promoting such travel, an old tea-farmer’s house in the country town has been renovated to a kawane youth hostel.
