Hostel Overview
Kalix offers peace and calm as well as exhilarating adventures and genuine wilderness. It lies at river mouth of the pristine Kalixälven and is famous for its salmon fishing.The river is Kalix’s main artery, a pure natural force and one of Sweden’s four protected national rivers.
Guests are accommodated in a cosy country house environment right next to the river. The charming yellow wooden house contains double and multiple-bed rooms. It’s walking distance to the golf course and just a few kilometres to the ferry that takes passengers to Vassholmen, a culture island in the Kalix river. The archipelago that begins here is regarded as the most beautiful in Norrland, and is where delicious whitefish roe is sourced.
At Kalix, availability permitting, we do our utmost to allocate beds so that guests share multiple bedded rooms only with their travel party.
