Hostel Overview
Johanngeorgenstadt is a former mining town in the western Erzgebirge Mountains on the Czech border. Now a holiday and ski resort, it has cross-country and cross-border ski tracks in a densely wooded area of outstanding natural beauty with the landmark 1000 m Auersberg Mountain and the "Kleiner Kranichsee" nature reserve. Summer activities are walking, cycling, horse riding and carriage-rides, climbing and adventure tourism. The youth hostel is in a peaceful location on the edge of the Old Town.People of 27 years or over pay a surcharge of €3 per night.
Surcharge for single and twin rooms p. p. p. n. (subject to availability): Single: €10 Twin: €4 (doesn’t apply to group guides);
Rebate for children: Up to 2 years free of charge, 3 – 13 years 30% rebate;
Group rebate: For a group of 20 paying customers another one totally free (accommodation, sheets and meals at the YH).
