Noisy, with the downstairs restaurant/pub playing loud music till late. They also allow bar patrons to use the hostel bathrooms, meaning they're well trashed by the evening. Not a pleasant stay, I'd spend a few more dollars to look for a pension.

Both the showers on my floor flooded every morning because the drains were pretty plugged up. The first morning I let the cleaning staff know, but it appears it was not a huge concern, as I was there for four days and nothing was done.

I couldn't be more happier at the Sultan Hostel. The location is fantastic, their food great and affordable, the room is not a 5 star hotel but you you'll find a very clean room with dedicated cleaning staff. From the onwner of the hostel to the porter, the staff is well trained, keen to help anyone. This was my second time I have stayed at the Sultan Hostel and I will certainly retur again soon rather than later. I would like to thank all the staff specially Gabriela who is a bright star at the Sultan Hostel. Great smile, very friendly and like all the other staff, she is there for you. Thank you all.

I've been in many countries and I hardly stay at the hostels, I can say that this was one of my best travel experience. I loved Istanbul and the Sultan Hostel. The location was great and the Staff well above my expectations. Thank you Gabriela, than you the reception guuys, bar staff, kitchen ones. You were great!!!

poor ventilation, cant sleep at night as some one has to go to washroom which was inside the room bedding was not clean and comfortable

Great location!The hostess Gaby always had a smile, very cheerful and greeted guests warmly.The restaurant and bar are really fine additions which add to the ambience of the hostel.

first night we did not get a room with bathroom as ordered. Second night there was no water before 8am. Thereafter was ok. With luck we had the best room with nice view over the sea.
