The hostel is in a lovely location but has very few amenities within walking or public transport distance, which poses problems for a non-self catering and non-catered hostel. It was our first night in Japan and having both travelled around the world in YHA hostels just assumed that the hostel would have a shared kitchen.
Hostel Overview
Our Youth Hostel is located just alonside the Kijimadaira Ski ground one of the largest slope in Noth Nagano. This year, 3 big slope, TAKAIFUJI, KIJIMADAIRA, and MAKINOIRI located on the foot of Mt Takayashiro has been combined and born a very large ski-resort equipped 21 of lift. It take only 3min to the lift station, which is best location for snow sports.Most convenient youth hosel for sking, where we are alongside of Kijimadaira Ski resort . Also the hostel is very convenient to Nozawa Onsen Ski resort and Snow Monkey at Jigokudani Onsen. Diorama of precision railway model (9mm gauge) open every night which is equipped Audio and Visual system and onboard camera system. If you have plan to visit there, please do not hesitate to contact us. The manager is fluent English spealer!
