This was my favorite hostel I have stayed in while in Iceland. The location is charming, and the woman working at the front desk was very nice. I also loved the little reading nook on the second floor. There was an intense ash/wind storm the night that we were there, but the hostel was a great cozy place to hang out while the storm passed.

very good warm new hostel, would stay again if traveling down the south coast of Iceland. P.S. no shops in area so make sure you have already bought your food etc.

There was a large group of tourists (from the USA) hosted at the same time as we. Very noisy, very hard to rest.

Great except no breakfast as advertised on the website maybe needs to be updated as it was off peak. Very clean and good sp It would reccomend to anyone travelling in the area. Good kitchen too!

No breakfast was proposed in a region where it is difficult to find to eat. No WIFI and no information on the weather.

Fantastic place. I was there in the off season so it virtually empty but it's a great size and has a few kitchens allowing people to all make food at the same time in their own area which is great.

what a beautiful location!! I would jump at the chance to go kayaking at this location! We recieved a great exciting and educational tour from Hannes about the erosion and environment.

Very good Hostel. We were really glad to stay at Hvoll. We will come back to see Auroras Borealis. It seems to be a perfect place to see them.
Hostel Overview
The Hostel is in a new building and is ideally located for those who want to do hiking tours in the National park in Skaftafell, visit Jökulsárlón, go to Laka or Landmannalaugur. In the surroundings of the hostel you can find many species of birds and hiking trails. The guestkitchen at the hostel is very well equipped. Next supermarket is 25 km away. Next Hostels: Vík, 95 km - Vagnsstaðir, 110 km.Great starting point for hiking tours.
