The staff is unfriendly. She tried to overcharge on every pretext.They did not allow 10% Discount which we are entitled to being members of YHAI. We all are members and carryinjg our Cards and showed them. She overcharged also for City Tours.

I stayed in a private room w/ a private bathroom. I enjoyed the hotel-style touches, such as free hygiene products in the bathroom and the stocked minibar. I stayed for four nights and enjoyed three of those nights. On the last night another guest (or guests) were smoking weed, and the smoke came into my room via the shared bathroom vent system. I am 420-friendly but after a while I had to leave because it got so bad. I mentioned this to the night clerk but he seemed unconcerned. Other guests in the lobby told me the smoke was going into their rooms as well. That night some guests also had a party in the common area that lasted until well after midnight. In the morning there were empties and cigarette butts everywhere and people passed out on the couches. I would recommend that the hostel management create a drink/drug policy to ensure the comfort, health, and safety of all guests.

Decent location (backpacker's district, a ten minute walk from the city centre). Hostel fine, only stayed for one night. Breakfast basic, but free, so can't really complain. Stay in Ho Chi Minh for two nights- that's long enough but not overdoing it. Just to warn you- my friend got mugged by a guy on a motorbike, luckily the stuff fell out so she didn't lose anything. While this happens EVERYWHERE, not only in Ho Chi Minh, just make sure not to bring all your valuables with you when you see the sights, and don't have a side-bag with a long strap, because they can grab it and cycle away!! But the hostel was fine. Ho Chi Minh is definitely worth a visit!

This is a well run hostel. Breakfast can be improved to include eggs and a cereal.
