Great Breakfast! Very helpful staff and wonderful place to stay. Rooms are beautiful with many balconys looking down the valley and up to the mountains. Very hard to find by car or when people are not around. From the south turn left into the terraced parking lot just before the main road into the village. Bear left inside the parking lot behind a wall, then go down the switchback right then left into the hostel parking area. This is a very tight turn. It is the old school building.

Proprietor provided dinner for me and another guest when we came in late. He could have easily said no, but put together a really nice meal of Weiner schnitzel that was better than the one I ate in Vienna!

option to interact with other guests. We were segregated to another breakfast room with just a few folks, rather than the room with the other guests

Absolutely fantastic secret place. We quickly booked a second night too good to just saty one night.We had three weeks driving across Austria and these area was definitely a highlight , do not miss it!
Hostel Overview
Set by the Hohe Tauern National Park, the hostel lies at the foot of Mount Grossglockner and next to the village´s atmospheric church. Mountain climbing, hiking, skiing and nature watching are just some of the activities here.
