Location is great,bus # 32 runs through the University, Bismack Plaz and Bahnhof stops outside of the hostel. Place is very clean and huge public area for social.Great breakfast,many choices, even served cooked egg one day. I first got a bed on the top bunk, after trying to get on and off the top, I felt insecure of my safety since there isn't much space around the bed edges for me to grab on to them. so, I asked to see if there was another room with a lower bunk bed available. The receptionist quickly checked and found me one. I eventually stayed in a 4 beds dorm room and met a wonderful young girl.

The Heidelberg hostel is one of the best hostels I've stayed in since I began hostelling in 1966, it's more like a very good 4 star hotel.

Hostel Overview
Heidelberg, the famous university town is situated on the river Neckar between the Odenwald Mountains and the Rhine. Numerous theatres, museums and historical buildings make for an exciting and educative trip. The old University, the town hall and the Church of the Holy Spirit bear witness to the town’s turbulent past. The castle towering above the town and dating back to 12 c. is a popular destination for day trips.
