"Bed and Breakfast" for 2 in a 2 bed room was £50, with poor facilities eg the toilets/shower area seriously needs refurbishment.
Private B&B in Hawes for 2 persons is now £60 for an ensuite with corresponding features. I have hostelled for 55 years, the present situation is rather a pity.
Hawes is a busy market town famous for rope making and Wensleydale cheese. And there are many surrounding natural attractions. The dale is known for its wooded hills and waterfalls, including the Aysgarth Falls and Hardraw Force.
