I have stayed here several times and although this hostel is not in the downtown area it is extremely comfortable and well appointed so I keep returning there.

It takes about 30 min by walking from Hakata Sta. But you can take a bus that takes 10 min. There's a curfew at 01 am

The map provided by the hostel isn't the easiest to understand. The easiest way to get there from Hakata Station: Exit the station from the Chikushi Entrance (筑紫口), and turn right from the main road (not the little side street with the pachinko parlours and other bright lights). Keep walking until you get to an intersection with the multi-story Yodobashi Camera (ヨドバシカメラ) carpark on your right-hand side(not the actual Yodobashi Camera store, that's before the carpark, also on your right-hand side). Turn left at this intersection. Keep walking (and walking and walking) until you get to an intersection with Mobil on the left. Turn right here. Once you've walked for about 30 seconds, you'll be able to see a Lawson on the left-hand side of the street. The hostel is next to this Lawson (sort of behind it, down the side-street next to it). In total, it's a good 20min walk by my reckoning, but it's pretty simple to find with good directions.

Hostel Overview

Fukuoka YH is ideally located at the centre of Fukuoka city, near Hakata sta. and Takeshita sta. It's just 5 minutes from Fukuoka International Airport (25 minutes walk). We have a convenience store, supermarkets, restaurants, Ramen noodle shops etc. nearby.

Pic 5: Tenjin Chikagai --- underground shopping street, Tenjin Station ( Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line ) or Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station ( Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line ). Pic 6: Hakozaki Shrine ,Hakozakigu Subway Station Pic 7: Hakata Mentaiko at Hakata station souvenir shop. Mentaiko is a cod or pollock roe flavoured with chile pepper. It is a famous product of Fukuoka (also called Hakata). Pic 8: Lobby with free internet service Pic 9: Breakfast, 1 plate a person (not buffet) Pic 10: Japanese Tatami Room for 4 guests

Bus:	From Hakata Kotsu Center (1F No.13), take a bus for 10 minutes, and get off at Sannou icchoume, then 4 minutes on foot. Or 15 minutes on foot from Takeshita station.
Location:	Sannou icchoume bus stop(Please cross the crossing for the right. Please look around it. You may see Gust and Sega and Lowson. Please Walk to the Lowson. A building behind the Lowson is yh.)
