Excellent staff! It was quite busy when I was there and had to wait in line a bit at the desk, but that's because everybody got great service, all questions got answered and all concerns addressed. The people were friendly, very helpful and have a great sense of humor. THANK YOU, Hostelling International!

booking was for 4bed room, but I ended up in a 16 bed room

Good location and friendly staff. Staff travel information wasnt always correct but they tried their best. When we booked a 4 bed dorm we didnt expect to be bunked in with 20 other people, with only a partical wall dividing us. It was noisy and people were not considerate, if we had know we would have booked the cheaper 10bed dorm, because it was the same experience anyway.

Hostel Overview
Victoria has been the capital of British Columbia since 1871. The Victoria Hostel, housed in a beautiful heritage building in the city's historic downtown centre, is close to the picturesque waterfront, the legislature buildings, and the Royal British Columbia Museum. The hostel makes a perfect base for exploring Vancouver Island!A variety of Free City Walking Tours will be commencing in Mid April. | Bus: | Bus Directions: Pacific Coach lines runs a service from downtown Vancouver, dropping you off at the Victoria bus terminal. From the bus terminal walk north on Douglas St. to Yates St. Turn left on Yates St. and walk down 3 blocks. The hostel will be on your right. |
| Parking: | There is meter parking in front of the hostel which is free from 6:00pm - 9:00am (Mon - Sat; free all day on Sundays). 2 blocks from the hostel is a parking lot. Cost - $6.00 for the day (6am to 6pm). |
| Sea port: | We are a few blocks from Victoria Inner Harbour. |
| Location: | In the heart of old town Victoria / Downtown, at the intersection of Yates Street & Wharf Street. |
| Airport: | We are about 25km from the Victoria International Airport.. Follow the signs to the Pat Bay Highway #17. The highway becomes Blanshard St. Take a right turn onto Yates St. The hostel is 4 blocks down on your right (end of Yates). |
