I liked this hostel. I felt safe and comfortable here. The staff were helpful and I enjoyed eating at the Cavern Cafe. It was in a good location for making access to the amenieties of the city easy. I would definitely recommend this hostel to other travellers.

Staff were nice and beds were also clean. However, the spaces are a little small but it didn't matter a lot. I spent nice time there!

I was given no faded sheets with dirty spots, and since I arrived tired from my long distance flight i didn't have a chance to ask the staff to change it, im sure they would do it. And one of my roommates was so messy that i think in that kind of situation the cleaning staff should be strict with people like that and ask them not to throw their things around to make other people's stay more comfortable.

I would stay here again, no hesitation. There were many services I would have taken advantage of if I had had the time. The breakfast was delicious and an excellent value. The closeness of secure parking was also a great advantage.

Need new matresses, the one I slept on had a significant sag in the middle. Bathroom looked pretty tired and could do with a shelf but otherwise I was happy with my stay.

My stay at HI toronto was overall very good. However I had the worst bed in tr 4bed female dorm as it had a massive dip in the middle (result of being very old). Made it difficult to sleep. One of the other girls in the dorm had a collection of dirty plates and Starbucks containers that must have been there for a week or so. The communal areas of the hostel are very good!!! Only two small lockers in dorm. Very glad I managed to get one to keep money and passports in. I think that 80% of people that I met there were in Toronto looking for jobs. Would have been nice to meet more travelers a it came across as a home for these people.
