Enjoyed my three nights at 31 Gower Street, it is well set up for kitchen and bathrooms. The rooms could have been cleaned more frequently and the shower needed mould removal.

There was no one watching the front door. Anyone off the street could wander in and not be noticed bz staff.

A great hostel. I actually stayed in a 3 bed room in number 31 - an old victorian house that has been renovated into a stunning hostel. It has a bueatuful little kitchen and great bathroom with a tub and a lovely lounge area and garden. I slept well in a very comfortable bed and met some nice people who were also staying there. My only gripe would be the washing machine and drier. Why cant I use the ones in this house instead of going back to the main hostel (only 100 yards away, but still a pain) All in all a great stay in a great stay in a great hostel in a great city. I wish I had had longer there

Shuttle service to Cape Spear - tours to Southern Shore as far as Mistaken Point, includes puffin and whale watching - tours to Cape St. Mary's. Customized tours available. Shuttle service to any point on East Coast Trail, fares depend on drop-off location.
