Clean rooms and friendly staff. There was a family of 4 staying as well as groups of friends and it seemed like a comfortable atmosphere for all.

Super friendly little place ideally situated to take a break overnight when traveling on Hwy 1. Well equipped kitchen, good sized dorms, lovely staff...great place!

Overall, an excellent stay, super friendly and helpful staff. The only drawback was that I didn't realize the hostel would close during the day, so not as ideal for my work/travel trip.

I very much appreciated the reading lights for each bed and the small lamps that made it possible for latecomers to enter without turning on the bright overhead.

All round a wonderful stay - a friendly hostel, very helpful staff - one even had a birthday and shared cupcakes with the guests! The female dorm had bunks and was fairly small, hence the "good" rather than "very good" rating for comfort, but there were lockers and all round the room was fine spacewise. The hostel had a car park in the back so it felt more secure than standard street parking. I would stay again and wish I had had more time there!

There was really a sense of community here. I felt very welcomed. Not only this, but breakfast was served! Small donations were suggested. Not bad at all! Oh, there is also a lovely porch swing that my friend and I enjoyed sitting on at night. Very relaxing. I would definitely come back.

| Bus: | We recommend Amtrak buses which use the Amtrak station located one block away from the Hostel. Walk North on Santa Rosa for 2 minutes and we are on the left at 1617 Santa Rosa St. The Greyhound Bus stop is about 3 miles away. The best option is to call for a taxi: 805-234-8294. |
| Parking: | We have limited parking available behind the hostel, and there is street parking which is free, safe, and available 24/7. |
| Location: | From San Francisco: Take US-101 South. Take the exit toward SANTA ROSA ST in San Luis Obispo. Turn RIGHT onto CA-1/ SANTA ROSA ST. Continue to follow SANTA ROSA ST. End at 1617 Santa Rosa St on right. From Monterey/Santa Cruz/Cambria: Hwy. 1 South becomes Santa Rosa St. as you enter San Luis Obispo. End at 1617 Santa Rosa St on right.
