This hostel has street parking for cars and all you can eat burgers on Thursday and Saturday nights for 5 dollars and Tuesday and Friday nights other meals for 5 dollars. Large locker enough to fit a backpack into about 1.5 ft by 1.5 ft by 2.5ft high. Needs more bathroom's showers, sinks as per the number of people there are only access for about 3 toilets WC, 3 sinks, and 3 showers, and way more beds! Actually finish the remodel without so many openings for new lights, either put a fixture in or fill it with plaster, and paint a wall over it, don't just tape over all the holes in the walls and ceiling and call it good!

We had a great stay but it would be great if they could heat the halls and bathroom and keep the hall doors closed to the outside. The cold air kept coming under our door and we froze when we had to get up and get ready. Otherwise it was a really nice stay and we all enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!

The staff were awesome. But it seems there are several odd characters staying in the hostel his time of.year. it seems it 's mostly Americans,Many were cool , but one young man who said he was homeless wouldn't even tell me his name yet pressed me for my personal info, he and a young mexican were invasive (the latter constantly asking a friend of mine on dates,) one lady apparently was paranoid often, another was just prickly. There also seemed to be.alot of.people.who.snore. earplugs don't work well. (matt, a staff member went way above and beyond by offering me his special headphones which.helped.but.)... snorers sleep right through their own racket and that of the.other snorers can we please have dorms.for.those.of us.who.snore and dorms for those.who.don't . Yes some might not know but will have.plenty.of feedback after their first night.

    Hostel response:
Thanks so much for your suggestions. We truly appreciate all input our guests give us to help improve our hostel.

Comfort could be improved by having small reading lights for each bunk, as some hostels do, to avoid having to use the overhead when some people are sleeping.

    Hostel response:
Thank you so much for your suggestion. It is great guests like you who give us great ideas to help us improve the hostel. We are now in the process of installing all new electrical including reading lights and wall outlets for each bed and a charging station in each locker. Cheers, Jenny

The only reason I put Fair for comfort is that there was one person in the room that snored very loud. Thanks for providing ear plugs. That helped. But in general, my stay there was terrific. I liked connecting with other folks in the kitchen/dining area. I appreciated all the maps on the walls and shelf of bus schedules. I read through the folder that told where all the local highlights were to be found. Well done. Since it was my first time to visit San Diego AND I only had a couple of days to figure out how to best use my time. All this information really helped. Thanks to the staff for being so friendly and helpful. I will recommend this place to others.

    Hostel response:
Thanks you so much for your comments. I am so glad the ear plugs helped. It is our goal to create the most fun, clean, and safe hostel we can so it is so nice to see your excellent review of such. Cheers, Jenny

Some of the female staff weren't very friendly. However, great hostel, home from home.
