Very secure hostel in a quiet location inside Fairmount Park. The hostel has a great history to it as the Chaumonix mansion. Bus service to downtown Philadelphia and grocery store both within 1 mile of the hostel. The hostel is very well suited for people traveling by car. It's in a secluded out-of-the-way place in the park. I enjoyed long walks every day through the park before catching the bus downtown. I would definitely stay there again.

Quirky hostel - three large common rooms with antique furniture seemed a poor use of space .. lack of adequate comfortable seating im particular.

This is a great place to stay in near Philadelphia. It is an historic summer home, now a hostel in Fairmount Park. The place is clean, there are lovely rooms to sit in, with a harp in one. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Only problem is that it is 1.1 miles to the nearest bus stop. If you have a car, this place is perfect, but if not, be prepared to do a lot of walking. It also is not really near any restaurants, or other amenities. A short drive takes care of all that. The nearest amenities is a small strip mall near the closest bus stop, with a coffee/grocery store and about 2 other stores.

Little far from public transportation but beautiful setting, ideal if you like nature and peace. The staff is very nice and one of the cleanest hostel I know! Will recommend anytime.

A wonderful Hostel for visitors with a own car. Otherwise the way to the city by foot and bus is unbelievable long. The breakfast was poor!

Clean back of heating fan in kitchen from grease / dirt . Clean up yard litter in back and 50 yards all around building BEFORE new spring growth. Cut down ALL vines that are strangling trees and blocking views . THX

The Hostel was in a very nice location. The beds were not very comfortable and you had to be out of the hostel every day by 11:30.
