I very much enjoyed staying at HI Niagara, and particularly appreciated the easy going nature of the person managing it. I also liked the decor, breakfast arrangement and distinctiveness of this hostel

There is no check-in time listed on the website for this hostel. I wasn't aware that there was a dog which lived at the hostel. I feel it would be a good idea for something like this to be displayed on the hostel website so that those with allergies to animals- such as dogs can look into booking alternative accommodation. I was not happy about this, as a customer, I'd expect something like this to be stated prior to me checking- in. Another issue I had was a key being left in my room door by housekeeping/hostel staff. My other roommates had checked out prior to me leaving the room, so I know it was a member of staff within the hostel. Thankfully, none of my stuff had been removed from the room, but things like this should NOT happen. Lastly, there are a number of flies in the kitchen and feel a better hygiene practice could be adopted when laying out the breakfast spreads as they were left uncovered for numerous hours and I saw flies landing on them.

Great place. Within a 2 minute walk of the train station & public & commuter bus station. A bit of a walk if going to see the falls itself or the attractions on Cliffton Hill. The hostel offered activities including a wine tour.

kitchen and showers were very clean,only the little bathroom next to our door was a mess.but would definetly recommand it and stay again.

HI Niagara Falls Youth hostel is one of the HI network of hostels in Canada. The hostel offers private rooms (with TV) and shared rooms in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The hostel is open all year round so you can enjoy the world famous Horseshoe Falls regardless of the season.The hostel offers FREE breakfast and coffee until 11am plus FREE internet terminals and WI-FI. You will also find FREE linen, towels and blankets at the hostel.
The hostel staffs speaks a variation of English, French,and German and are waiting to provide you with local information and suggestions on what to do during your trip. Great deals on attractions can be picked up at the hostel reception and check out the events and activities board for lots of inspiring ideas!
The hostel welcomes you at the desk from 8am to 12am (arrangements can be made for guests arriving early or late) and with staff always onsite there is no curfew so you can enjoy the sights of Niagara during the day and return to the hostel at any time.
