I loved this hostel. Fantastic location, close to Maligne Lake, Maligne Canyon, fantastic snowshoeing... My only complaint would be that the mattresses are a bit hard, but that's pretty minor!

This HI is a real asset for Jasper. Without it, we would not visit Jasper.

If you are aware of what a wilderness hostel is, you will not be dispointed. The owner is very nice and helpfull. We really enjoy our stay. One thing that I dislike, bed are small and I can't lie down totaly as I'm tall (1m90).

Hostel Overview
Poised alongside the Maligne River, just above the spectacular depths of Maligne Canyon, this serene hostel is an all-season destination. Travellers will enjoy an array of hiking, cycling, and cross-country skiing trails. The nearby Skyline Trail offers one of Jasper National Park's most scenic hikes. This is a Wilderness Hostel, no running water and outdoor toilets.RUSTIC Hostel - No running water. (no flush toilets or showers) The do have water for drinking and cooking. (May require to be boiled prior to use)
