I love the Malabar Farm Hostel, incredibly friendly staff! Cute little farm in the middle of Ohio.
We love hostelling! We had to take a four-year hiatus because we has a baby. Since we cannot be in the hostel during the day, we couldn't stay with a baby- too many needs. As it was, the full day we were there, we had planned to hike with our little ones and it was 40 degrees- I have to say I wish we could have all-day access to the hostel. I understand why it may not be possible. Nevertheless, we LOVE Malabar Hostel, and Mark was so great. We all had a great time, and the boys loved meeting all the other people- they wanted to play with the other children longer! We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for keeping at least one hostel in Ohio. It is so worth it, and we so appreciate it! I hostelled through Africa and Europe before starting my family, and I am so proud and thrilled that I can share the experience with my children, right here in our own great State of Ohio!
loved it! Location is amazing and great for kids. We will be coming back. - kitchen floor in desperate need of being cleaned as were the floors under the bunk beds.
Excellent hostel. I've been staying there for 10 yers or so. Please don't close it. The "country-farm" location is ideal....
Bed & Breakfast, you make both. Mark stayed up late for my arrival, the house feels like a $100+ B&B and the grounds, Malabar Farms, make the stay a treat. the place is furnished with everything you'd need. Stay at Malabar if you're ever in Ohio.
Bunk bed was so hard!
I enjoyed my stay so much I have already recommended the Hostel to others. Manager Mark was very hospitable and a true font of information about the region.
I have been staying at Malabar Farm Hostel every year for the past four years when a friend and I attend a sporting event in Mansfield, and, frankly, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. We have known three managers and each of them we have come to know as friends. The setting is marvelously peaceful, and the accommodations are comfortable. Even without air conditioning, we were comfortable in August.
Great area for wildlife viewing!
I loved staying at this hostel. The location is beautiful and quite peaceful.
