When many people is cooking it's difficult to keep the kitchen tidy and clean. I would warn people to be more organized and clean.

We stayed in the detached building. It is nice. However, One of the ranges in the kitchen had two burners marked as broken and the remaining two didn't work very well at all. As a result there was quite a traffic jam in the kitchen. Otherwise it is a good place to stay.

My room was a very awkwardly set out and was not made to accommodate 5 guests. But the staff where great as was the location for getting to the village and some trail heads.

We would definitely stay there again! Very cozy and comfy and clean. It would be nice if they changed the dishcloths and dish towels more often!!!

| Bus: | Greyhound Bus Depot located 1km from hostel in village centre at Samson Mall. Hostel is within walking distance; walk north along Lake Louise Dr, turn left on Village Rd. Runs daily departures from Calgary and other cities. Greyhound also offers many options from various BC cities to Lake Louise. NOTE: HI members receive 25% off regular Greyhound fares! |

| Location: | 750m north of village centre. When you enter off Highway #1, you will come to a 4-way stop. Turn right (onto Village Road). We are on the left side, just past the small bridge, in the second-to-last building. The hostel is a large red building with a green roof. You will see the large 'ALPINE CLUB' sign and smaller "HI' sign... that's us! |
| Airport: | 200km to Calgary Airport. 2 hour drive to hostel; 2 1/2 to 3 hours by bus. Bus transport from Calgary Airport to Lake Louise available. |
