Love staying at this HI. First time was seven years ago. The only thing that I didn't like so much is the sheet. Instead of two sheets like the HI in Waikiki the Manoa HI has turned two sheets into a bed roll by sewing up two sheets on one side and three quarters on the other side. They are hard to get into and could easily cause bed sores because the bottom sheet is not tight and smoothe. But otherwise, it's a wonderful place.

hostel is very nice!! staff is very nice...cheerful and helpful.overall experience in hostel is wonderful because of its cool and nice location. close to all places. university campus is near, not far form waikiki and ala manoa beach and mall....must checkout yogurtland also(very close to hostel). hostel staff is nice to help you out to give ideas of places to visit and also suggest the best way to reach.

I really liked this hostel because it's located in a very calm, silent and beautiful area. It's very good if you want to get out of all the life in Waikiki, but still want to be quite close to the city. The staff if very friendly and servicegiving. This hostel is definetly something I recommend.

I wish there wasn't a seven day limit; 10 or 14 days would be more convenient.

HI Honolulu is situated in a quiet residential area near the University of Hawaii in the Manoa Valley. There are bars and restaurants nearby as well as hiking trails to Manoa Falls.The Honolulu hostel contains separate male and female dormitory style accommodation with shared bathrooms and showers and has a capacity for 43 guests. Other facilities include a fully equipped self-service kitchen, on-site laundry facility, Internet access, and a TV and lounge area.
