This is a great hostel. Tony, the hostel manager, keeps the place spic and span. It is very well cared for- the facilities (shower, kitchen, common room) are all excellent.

Tony makes you feel right at home. Kitchen was well equipped and very clean. Same with the bathrooms. Nice have a hairdryer on the wall. The bear sighting in the backyard was a bonus. Internet access would be nice to have or even a television.
Hostel Overview
Located between Banff and Lake Louise, the warm and hospitable Castle Mountain Wilderness Hostel offers outdoor enthusiasts a wide range of adventures, from hiking alpine trails to skiing at nearby resorts. We are also ideal for a stress-relieving getaway, set amongst beautiful natural surroundings with plenty of forest and wildlife. The hostel features a bright, cozy common room with a wood-burning fireplace and large bay windows. This hostel does have hot showers and flush toilets.Winter is here and the great skiing of Banff/Lake Louise area is setting up. So why not come and stay in the beautiful Rockies of Banff Park at Castle Mountain Junction.

open 17:00hrs to 22:00hrs for check in. Check out from dorms prior to 10:00hrs. Kitchen/lounge available during the day after daily cleaning.

| Location: | HI-Castle Mountain is located near the intersection of Highway 1A(Bow Valley Parkway) and Highway 93 South. Take Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) to Castle Mountain (half way between Banff and Lake Louise). Exit highway at Radium Hot Springs Exit and follow the Castle Mountain sign for 1KM. The hostel is on the right. |
