Hostel Overview
The Guilin Backstreet International hostel, located centrally in the city of Guilin, is one of the HI network of hostels in China and one of three HI hostels in Guilin. Recently refurbished, this Guilin hostel has been highly recommended 'one of the most economic accomodations of Guilin' by Lonely Planet China.The hostel in Guilin is situated close to the Li river. With it's unbeatable location it is just around the corner from the commerical walking streets and city central plaza. From the hostel it is a 3 minute walk to the most famous Elephant hill, Shanhu Lake and all other city attractions are all in walking distance (15 minutes).
Near the hostel you will find great shopping malls, cultural centers, charactristic bars and western restaurants. In general here is the paradise of laid-back life!
Staff in the hostel speak good English. They are eager to help travellers by providing information of traveling around Guilin, Yangshuo and any other good places around the Guangxi Province.
The hostel itself strictly meets the standards of Hostelling International! You will find a comfortable bed, a bathroom in every room (western toilets!!!), athentic western breakfast and dinner, Internet access with free WIFI, bicycle rental, laundry service, free hot drinking water, free travel information, needlework and lots more.

| Bus: | Walk out from the bus station then cross the street you will find No.2 bus (bus runs between 06:00-21:00) stop to your left about 100m, get off after 3 stops (Lijiang theatre stop, 1.2 Yuan) our hostel is located inside the vally opposite to the stop about 30m. Taxi cost 8 yuan. |

| Airport: | the airport is 30km away from our hostel, you can take the shuttle from airport to CAAC station (last stop), then change a taxi to our hostel, it cost 9 yuan, 15 minutes. Taxi runs directly from Airport to our hostel cost 90 Yuan, and it takes half hour. if you need airport pick up service, please contact with us in advance, we will send a private car to meet you at the airport |
