The hostel was a little pricy, but the building and town are so beautiful it is worth it. The building is impecable clean and breakfast was delicious. There are great places to hang out in the hostel and a nice balcony to enjoy the incredible view. The only downside is that it is a bit of a walk from town (but not too bad once you get used to it) and the map provided online is really bad. I had a hard time finding the hostel.

Beautiful and friendly YH But it kind of sucks to be stuffed in a room with 5 other people when there are only 8 people staying in the whole YH.

I remeber the days when all hostels provided a kitchen for the use of the guests. I found this missing and it made our stay more expensive and less convenient.

A beautiful building and very spacious - a slight shame it isn't a bit closer to the centre of Grindelwald.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Standing on the balcony, you can see the breathtaking snow mountain and picturesque Swiss village. The interior design is warm and comfortable,which is a nice place to stay especially after a exhausting hiking day.

Half board. I stayed for 3 nights. Evening meal we had pasta 3 nights in a row. First night was ok but the other 2 evening meals I think was the cooks nights off. Had packet tortolini second night and the last night we were served one small piece of dry salty meatloaf with a small spoon of steamed vegies and plain pasta shells (no pasta sauce) and then directed to help outselves to a bottle of ketchup. A few people rufused to eat it. Definitely not of a quality you would expect to pay for and certainly not value for money.
