The staff were wonderful. The basic food was very good, even the coffee. I understand plans for expansion of this hostel are on hold but I hope that moves forward. We were on the 3rd floor and the stairs were manageable. Will there be an elevator on the new addition. There were a few people staying there who are physically challenged. This is the second time I stayed there. I really appreciated the convenience of being able to buy tram tickets at the hostel and having the staff print out our boarding passes for our flight home. This is my second stay at de Draecke and I would stay there again. Very close to tram and many, many of the sights we wanted to see and found on our own. Internet was inexpensive.
Bike store was a very useful feature
Great stay, love Ghent.
Given misleading information about where the Heritage Sunday houses were on the map.
We were satisfied, but the breakfest could be better. It's a nice place.
Kind regards Anita
dirty & old
A nice hostel with friendly staff.
Great location close to the centre of town, friendly and helpful staff. Only quibbles the shower didn't have a proper head and was stuck facing the wall and there were no lockers in the room. Apart from that great.
I have stayed in this hostel before and i found that our room wasn't as clean this time as last. It also smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. But apart from that the hostel offers good value for money.
Truly a wonderful experience. My only complaint was the showers, which you had to push every 10 seconds to prevent them from cutting off.
Abbiamo preso una camera doppia privata percio' si trovava al terzo piano, senza ascensore, a parte quello e' andato tutto bene.
