The staff are lovely and friendly. I wish the explanation of how to get there was more clear; I didn't realize it would be so far from the route directly to town of Mont St Michel. Sabine was a warm-hearted and efficient host.

The openinghours of the reception is very short and incomplete with the information on the site. The beds are to short and very hard. Under the beds was a lot of dust.

This place was really quite nice. Delicious breakfast. Nice kitchen (if a bit understocked). beautiful little place. The location was ok to get to by bus but there isnt much happening in the town so you need to get out to avranches and surrounds which can be a hassle by public transport. You can go to Mont St Michel by bus direct from Avranches apparently but only in July and August. The rest of the time you have to catch 3 buses which could involve a lot of waiting around. But I would highly reccomend doing the walk across the bay because it was lovely.
Hostel Overview
Located in the small village of Genêts, in the Mont St Michel bay, the hostel is a good base for guided walks across the bay, the unusual walk going from 'Bec d'Andaine' to the Mont St Michel (UNESCO World Heritage site) through the Genêts beach. To experiment this adventure, you can expect walking for 2 to 5 hours. Accommodation is in 2-6 bedded rooms.
