There is no aircon and only one fan for the 4 bedded dorm. We almost fainted as the room was warmed as oven. Though it cooled off a bit after 10 pm, I think it is not a good place to stay during summer time. The person in-charge was helpful though. Location wise it is not so accessible. I think some sort of transport service to back to the JR should be provided, may be at a more reasonable price. We paid 1600 JPY for the taxi for our way back to the JR Station.

Hostel Overview

The hostel is a log house with a vividly red roof set on the Irumu Hill surrounded by apple and cherry trees and corn, potato, pumpkin patches. You can see the North Sorachi Plain and Ishikari River. Handmade flower&nut interior accessories and homemade seasonal organic foods are waiting for you!

Bus:	From JR Fukagawa Station, take the bus bound for Takikawa via Otoe and get off at "Otoe." (8 min.) 12 minute walk (1km) there to YH.
Rail:	Fukagawa station on JR Hakodate Line. Pick-up service is available at 6pm & 8pm. Please reserve in advance.
