Very nice staff!! Perfect location (you will need a car thou), very clean. Time for cleaning rooms should be extended till 11am. That would be helpful.

The hostel is in a wonderful location, and Silvia at the reception is very helpful in suggesting cool places to visit in the Chianti area.

Thank you so much, great town , great hostel a little hard to find - first impression not that positive but the people made up for it and then we came to really love it.

Great hostel, nicely located in small but intersting town, really helpful and friendly staff, free WIFI, nice somfortable tv lounge and table tennis. Also a really nice outdoor garden area and a deck on the 2nd floor.

Tavarnelle is a beautiful place, but despite be near Florence (Firenze), about 30km, the traveller must be attention with bus and trains conections that may be rare.

Its was very relaxing, not doing much but also the weather was so hot that you don't want to go out. It would have been better if the hostel have a ceiling fan or air con. because it was so hot at night trying to sleep.

It was a very comfortable hostel. Breakfast was nice and they have hot water, coffee and snacks in the kitchen for guests. It is extremely nice they let you stay inside the hostel during their lockout. The only complaint is that the toilets don't really flush. Everything seems to go away except for the toilet paper!!

One of the best hostels we stayed in - Staff were ridiculosly friendly and knowledgeable, the town was lovely and full of super restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The Tavarnelle Youth Hostel offers you the opportunity of a holiday in one of the most beautiful and famous regions of Italy. Here you will find beautiful scenery, excellent wines and cuisine, but also delightful medieval villages and world famous art cities such as Florence which can be reached in 30 minutes by car and Siena in 30 minutes. During the summer months a lot of intersting events take place, such as the famous "Palio" in Siena (July and August), the "Maggio Musicale" in the month of May in Florence, and many other festivales.Hostel bed capacity

| Bus: | From Florence S.M.N. train station, leaving the trains behind you take the steps down to your right and the SITA bus station is just 3 minutes away around the corner. The last bus leaves Florence at 7.50 p.m. and reaches Tavarnelle Val di Pesa at 8.37 p.m. Do not get off the bus until you see the towns houses as the first Tavarnelle sign is 5 km out of the town itself. In Tavarnelle get off at stop N° 012 ' Mocale ' cross the street and walk up via Garibaldi. The back of the hostel is right ahead of you. From Siena take the SITA bus from the terminal in via Tozzi, which is just 5 minutes walk from the famous Piazza del Campo. In Tavarnelle all SITA bus stops are less than 300 metres from the Chianti Hostel. |

| Rail: | The nearest train station is in Poggibonsi which is 11 km from Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. From Poggibonsi it is possible to reach Chianti Hostel by SITA bus. Poggibonsi can be reached from Pisa in one hour and twenty minutes by train. |
