One of the nicest, cleanest hostels we have stayed in in over thirty years, the kitchen appliances and equipment was excellent but just needs a few extra pots. A group of fifteen cooking left very in the way of saucepans and frypans. Would highly recommend it.

Beautiful location of hostels in lovely gardens & conveniently close walk from the station.Staff were lovely & helpful. Hostel was in fantastic condition, very clean with a large common room/ kitchen with lovely views over Flam. No lockers in room which made locking personally belongings diifcult but would otherwise definately recommend this quiet hostel in a quaint town.

Fantastic location...surrounded by beautiful snow capped mountains. Excellent facilities....hostel looked brand new. Great staff...very helpful & seemed more like friends than staff. Very comfortable & clean rooms.

Superbe auberge ds un camping, mobiliEr tout neuf, chambres très bien attention pas de ptit dej... Et un seul supermarché ds la ville qui ferme la plupart du temps à 15h, attention!!!€ sinon paquet de pâtes o camping pr 3 €....

Hostel Overview
Flåm YH is a seasonal hostel, which is opened from the1st April till 31st October. The hostel is situated at the end of Norway's steepest train ride; the Flåm Railway and the Navvies' Road cycling track from Haugastøl via Finse (1,222 metre above sea level) to Vatnahalsen and then down the Flåm valley. Being situated at a narrow sidearm of the Sognefjord there are daily ferry and boat connections to a.o. Balestrand, Fjærland, Gudvangen and Bergen.Also cabins (with and without bath) and cheaper rooms without bath available. Rooms and cabins without bath use showers in common washingblock. NOK 10,- Children under the age of 16 are unable to be accommodated in shared dormitories.
