The kitchenette is too small to allow more than one person to cook. An improvement to the cooking facilities would benefit the Service Users.

Hot water supply to women's showers worked well one morning out of 3. Packed breakfast a bit sad. Otherwise the hostel was excellent. Most of the staff overwhelmingly helpful and enthusiastic. Other Portuguese hostels pretty good too.

It was a very nice place. The staff, in particular Cristina Marques are there to give a friendly bienvenue. It may have been a little rainy, but I guess this is the weather in this time of the year. BE CAREFUL WITH TAXI DRIVERS, THEY CHEAT PEOPLE, MOSTLY IF THEY REALIZE YOU ARE A TOURIST!!!

Ok, barebones but functional. Showers could've been cleaner. Free breakfast was good for free, but wouldn't be worth paying extra for. The whole one key for an 8 person room was kind of weird. Overall good value. Found it hard to find the first time, walked right by it multiple times, it's in a building that has another thing in it which uses the obvious entrance to the building.

Hostel Overview
If you're planning to have a sun and beach holiday in the Algarve, then Faro Youth Hostel is definitely a great choice. You can catch a boat to the islands which make up the Ria Formosa nature reserve. The reserve has an educational centre where you can see wildfowl, such as the sultana hen, or learn how the Portuguese water dog has been saved from extinction. The town of Faro itself is an interesting place, due to its historic heritage and its liveliness, very much related to the constant arrival of tourists from all corners of the world.
