Great hostel with decent kitchen facilities, good lounge and quiet areas. Only downside is that there is no inclusive breakfast for those staying in dorms (which we only found when we got there). No big problem as there are supermarkets and bakeries around the corner.

The staff were extraordinary nice, friendly and helpfull with trip and weather information. The only thing we did not like was the perfume-smell from cleaning and/or washing agents in our room

Hostel Overview
Patagonia Hostel is located in the heart of El Chaltén, a few steps away from the paths that, among forests, lakes and glaciers, lead to Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. Many people believe that the hostel is "the most beautiful house of the village", with its entirley wooden architecture, serves as a setting for the warm atmosphere that its guests, people who travel all over the world, give to its interior.The owners, who have been living in the area for years and who know perfectly well every corner of the place, give you a personlised service and the best information about the diverse activities you can make.
WHAT TO DO: LOS GLACIARES NATIONAL PARK is free and most of the trails are easy to follow and do not incur in any cost. Hiring a guide is the solution to get to know all the secrets about flora and fauna and the climbing history and is necessary for any walk on the glacier.
