great hostel, great location! best value for price, best eating!
I visited the Hostel last year and was so impressed with the cleanliness ect of the place that I booked this year again on my visit to Israel. But sorry to say things were not so good this time. We were a small group of 4 ladies between the age of 74 and 52 and they squeezed us in in the top right rooms just above the tennis court with a large group of school boys! Long after midnight they were still playing with balls on the tennis court, slamming doors, loud music, screaming and yelling. Sorry to say but we didn't sleep much that night. The matrasess were not so good any more as well. Last year we were in the rooms just beneath the tennis court and it was excellent!
Balcon on the dead sea. Room space. Good location. Bad restaurant. Hostel very noisy.
Machine selling water out of service -nearest shop selling water at 1 km. Staff not very responsive. Overall good for cleanliness and room size, but location not very well connected with the rest of Ein Gedi, except the beach. A shuttle service to move around would be a great add!
n.a.
We had a wonderful stay the room was fantastic the view service etc was very high quality.
Nice place direkt to the dead sea, very high standarts
Staff seemed really grumpy and acted like they didn't like thier job. The location makes up for it. Dinner is very expensive and not worth your money try and bring grocies to this hostel because there isn't much around where you can buy food.
Good base for exploring Ein Gedi nature reserve and taking baths in the Dead Sea. Internet was available, not for free though. No lockers. Cats and ibex deer wander in the compound. Breakfast was quite good, and dinner ok too. Only problem was this horde of horribly noisy school kids - if their teachers can't restrain them, the hostel staff should have done it. Recommended.
It was extremely noisy due to school classes shouting until 1 a.m.
