The pillows were aweful and thin.. Felt like paper... The toilets were stained and showers only had a curtain (no privacy). There were young kids running Around screaming and slamming doors all day and night! Very unpleasant stay.
Three items stolen on 2 separate stays. Breakfast music loud and insistent banging.
Hostel response:
Thank you for your comments, it is unfortunate that your stay here was marred by items being taken unlawfully. Whilst we do provide both lockers in the bedroom and have lockable food boxes, it is such a shame that your items were taken in the first place.
With regards to the breakfast music I will be sure to talk with the breakfast crew to turn it down.
Regards
Misty
Its a bit away from the main downtown area, but not too far to walk. The hostel staff was very friendly and eager to point out places for us to go. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with lockers large enough for a big backpack to fit - locks for 3 euro at the front desk are yours to keep as well.

Many thanks for your comments, we are glad that the walk down town wasn't too far and that we were able to help out with your time here in Dublin. Should you return, we hope you will consider letting us look after you again.

The staff at this hostel was excellent and very kind and professional. One evening a disheveled man checked into the hostel. He obviously had a brain injury and it was very difficult to understand what he was saying. The staff was patient and kind and checked him in. When he left the room they didn't laugh at him or talk about him. The staff was very helpful to me when i wanted to make reservations for a few tours. I am in my 50s and could afford hotels. I enjoy hostels.

Computers need replacing.
Smoking could be restricted to away from the front door.
All in all, enjoyable, will return.
The hostel was lovely. The only thing to criticize was the shower. You have to push the button every fifteen seconds and the water starts out far too cold then quickly jumps to far too hot. Otherwise, the hostel was everything I could want.
Hostel response:
Mnay thanks for your comments,
We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay here at the hostel. The showers are made like this so we can encourage our green policy to save water and energy. I will have the maintenance man look at them to see why they went from too cold to too hot. Should you return to Dublin we would be happy to look after you again.
Best regards,
Pamela
