Great hotel but the staff would not honour my HI membership and I had to fight with them to get the 10% discount that the membership warrants. The staff were very rude about this situation and this left a bad taste to our stay in this lovely hotel.
Hostel Overview
Amaru Hostal is located in the heart of the artists neighbourhood, "San Blas". Our special colonial and republican architecture provides our guests with a quiet environment with gardens and beautiful panoramic views just two blocks from Plaza de Armas in Cusco.Rooms at the Amaru Hostel feature local Peruvian décor and bold colours. All have en suite bathrooms, while superior rooms have a private balcony with views of Cusco. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas.
Guests can enjoy a daily American breakfast with fresh fruits, juices and rolls, or relax with a cocktail at the hostels bar. Due to its central location, local restaurants and bars are within walking distance. The hostel is situated 5km from Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, and 1 km from the Garcilaso football stadium.
