Hostel Overview
The Beachouse is a truly unique resort designed and built by the Brown family in the 1990’s specifically for travellers and those wanting an authentic Fiji experience away from the big resorts. With only 20 double rooms (12 with en-suite bathrooms) and a few dorms (no more than 6 persons per dorm), the emphasis is on comfort, privacy, convenience and all-round fun for singles and couples. It’s nestled within a delightful eight hectare coconut plantation with acres of tropical gardens and lawn. The resort is fringed by a white sandy beach with a living coral reef only metres away!The Beachouse enjoys hosting travellers from all over the world, whilst giving guests a chance to experience the very best of Fiji’s coastal lifestyle. This the perfect place to start your Fijian adventure! We generally have 40 to 60 travellers staying, so it’s a good place to learn up to date information off fellow travellers when planning your onward Fiji travel.
A little known fact is that The Beachouse was the site selected for the reality TV show ' Love Island' in 2006.

| Bus: | From Nadi Airport: - 100km approx FJ$12.00 (get a bus going towards Suva) From Suva: - 80km approx FJ$ 10.00 (get a bus going towards Lautoka) |

| Airport: | The first bus comes through Nadi Airport at 7am daily (Pacific Express) & the last bus is at 6pm. Taxi drivers at the airport may try to convince you that there are no more buses that day, as they are trying to get you to hire a taxi. The bus trip takes approximately 2 hours from Nadi Airport and costs about FJ$12.00 per person If your plane arrives in to Nadi Airport in the evening (after 5pm) ... you will miss the last 6pm local bus. We recommend one of 2 practical options: Hire Harry's Taxi/Shuttle through the Beachouse for FJ$120 (1-2 passengers) or FJ$140 (3-4 passengers). Harry's shuttle is the most practical way to get down, particularly if there is more than one person to share the cost. Stay a night in Nadi - Spend the night in a Nadi Hostel. Generally there are free shuttles to the hostel. The following day you can get the Beachouse for around FJ$20.00 (on Harry’s shuttle), this service picks up passengers from various hostels at midday. Otherwise you could get the Coral Sun Express or a local bus. Don’t forget to keep the Beachouse tollfree number handy (0800 6530530).. so you can check on Beachouse Shuttle times or for any other questions you may have. |
