Hostel Overview
Pam's Place YHA is nestled around leafy tropical gardens just off Cooktown's main street, and offers a relaxed, homelike atmosphere, saltwater pool, bar and pool table, spacious dining room, self-catering kitchen and laundry facilities. All rooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning. The nearest food store is 500 metres from the hostel. Multi-share, private rooms and self-contained units are available.Rates quoted are standard non-member rates. YHA / HI members receive 10% discount at check-in.
Cooktown is an Australian town steeped in history, from Jimmy Cook to the modern day. Bushwalking/hiking to scheduled beaches and mountains from the hostel, sail, dive, snorkel, crocodile spot or experience Aboriginal guided tours to nearby caves with quality rock art. Mysterious Black Mountain will amaze you or just relax and catch a fish from the wharf. A backpackers paradise.
