Directions to the hostel are not good, had to walk a lot... The rest is all good

The main problem of this hostel is the amount of stairs that we need to climb all time. There is no toilet in the common area, so we need to go up 3 floors to use the toilet. That´s really annoying and for aged people or disabled is an impediment! The female bathroom (the only one in whole hostel) has only 2 toilets and in the morning is frequent that all loo paper has finished.

You will not pay the price that's showed on the internet. Bad for security. Creepy living room and kitchen. The only positive thing it's the breakfast included.

Wouldn't recommend to Coimbra when the students aren't there as it is extremely quiet. Beds were not at all comfortable- unstable and the slats on one of the beds had broken. TV didn't work. A lot of noise comes into the bedroom near the dining room and entrance in the mornings.
Hostel Overview
You don't have to be a graduate to visit Coimbra and get to know the students' city, as it is called. Have a walk around the city and take in the atmosphere of academic traditions, noticing the many student residences (repúblicas), the torn academic gowns and the ancient university. Who knows, maybe one day you'll end up studying here! If you enjoy canoeing, then don't miss this opportunity to paddle in the Mondego waters. But if you are into more alternative sports, then Serra da Lousã is the place to practise everything related to mountaineering and adventure. Oh, and don't forget: there are academic parties all year round, with few interruptions.Hostel bed capacity
