The worst hostel I've ever stayed at. The bed was fine, and the staff was nice, but they didn't let me stay my first night because my train was late. PRINT A MAP, because it was very difficult to find for taxi drivers. They sent me on a terrible Songshan tour that was basically a shopping trip where we barely got to go to museums. The bathrooms were disgusting, and the sinks are in another room. They throw you out of the lobby at 12 PM, and TURN OFF the internet at 1:45, so people smoke and talk in the halls all night. There are not many hostels in Changsha. I would recommend paying a little extra for a real hotel instead of staying in this shithole.
Hostel Overview
Changsha is a historic and cultural city in the south of China. It was founded 3000 years ago and the city was originally called Qingyang. In Tang Dynasty, it became the capital of the later Zhou state (AD 951-960). During the Song Dynasty(960-1279),Changsha was a leading commercial and cultural center.There are many famous scenic spots in Changsha, including Yuelu Academy (a one-thousand-year-old academic institution), Mawangdui, Xiangjiang River, Mt. Yuelu and Hunan Provincial Museum. Our Youth Hostel Changsha will be your best choice while you are visiting here or other cities beside Changsha,like Mt. Shaoshan,YueYang tower,Mt. Get off the bus, cross the road and walk about 80 meters to the next intersection and turn right. You will find the hostel, with a round illuminated 'YHA' sign in front of it. 汽车东站: 您可以坐110路、114路、126路、127路公交车至火车站广场下车；然后在火车站出站口坐136路公交车到下大垅下车；过马路进东风二村巷，（巷子右边是一线蓝色的门面：卖花的、买水果的），然后直行80米右转看见有蓝三角的圆灯箱（晚上会发白光）即到。 From West Bus Station If you are at the West Bus Station ,you can take bus 704 to the provincial museum,then take bus 136 to the Xiadalong（下大垅） stop. Get off the bus, cross the road and walk about 80 meters to the next intersection and turn right. | Airport: | It costs 80 RMB to come to the hostel by taxi. A cheaper alternative is to take the Civil Aviation Bus to the Civil Aviation Hotel. Once you arrive at the hotel, walk 200 meters to the train station. Inmfront of you train station you can board bus 136 to the Xiadalong bus stop. Get off the bus, cross the road and walk about 80 meters to the next intersection and turn right. You will find the hostel, with a round illuminated "YHA" sign in front of it. It costs 80 RMB to come to the hostel by taxi. A cheaper alternative is to take the Civil Aviation Bus(RMB 16.5) to the Civil Aviation Hotel. Once you arrive at the hotel, walk 200 meters to the train station. In front of you train station you can board bus 136 to the Xiadalong(下大垅） bus stop. Get off the bus, cross the road and walk about 80 meters to the next intersection and turn right.
